Rob Redenbach
Streetwise Leader & Master Storyteller
From protecting aid workers in the Middle East to delivering sold-out talks at the Sydney Opera House, Rob Redenbach distils decades of global experience into practical lessons on leadership, resilience, and adaptability.
A former infantry soldier with postgraduate academic honours, Rob has managed a security company in Papua New Guinea, worked with Nelson Mandela’s bodyguard team in South Africa, and taught unarmed combat to UK special forces. Pivoting from these roles, he has coached high-performing teams in over 20 countries and collaborated with respected international leaders, including the authors of The Resilience Shield.
Rob’s versatility extends to his creative achievements, including performing stand-up comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe, where his show was listed in the top ten by the Edinburgh Evening News. He also wrote and narrated the theme reel Write The Script, which challenges viewers to rethink the ‘scripts’ shaping their choices.
Like his book Always a Little Further, Rob’s presentations equip leaders and teams with actionable tools to face adversity with courage and a renewed sense of purpose.

Write The Script
Rob’s signature keynote, Write The Script, reveals how complacency and group conformity can lock individuals and teams into rigid, unproductive routines. By sharing lived experience and practical tools, Rob empowers audiences to overcome these challenges and drive meaningful progress. As Unilever’s Global Chief of Transformation noted: “Rob’s idea of scripts, and how to adapt them to meet changing needs, is particularly important. Above all, he’s an incredible storyteller and teacher who helps people not only grasp concepts but also apply them in real life.”
Write The Script can be delivered in person or online. While in-person presentations naturally offer a dynamic energy, Rob’s content and delivery consistently engage and empower audiences across all formats. During one session streamed from Sydney, Australia, participants in Rogaland, Norway, joined hundreds across six time zones—from Mumbai to Dubai and beyond—and came away with practical strategies to enhance both their professional and personal lives.
Typical feedback from that session includes: “I’m really thankful for being able to listen to Rob’s speech. This was definitely one of the best Masterclasses we have had in years. Everything he presented was very insightful and valuable, especially the main message: ‘If you don’t write the script, the script writes you!’”
Stress is Not The Problem
In Stress is Not The Problem (the problem is a lack of recovery), Rob reveals that building long-term resilience isn’t about eliminating stress but about balancing high performance with intentional recovery. Using a practical framework that covers four key areas—Mind, Body, Social, and Global—Rob illustrates how resilience is shaped by the footprints we leave and the legacies we create through our actions and relationships. His unique blend of storytelling, humour, and hard facts inspires reflection and personal accountability across all areas of life.
Stand Up, Stand Out
In Stand Up, Stand Out, Rob offers more than basic public speaking tips—he delivers an interactive learning experience centred on the power of storytelling to captivate and maximise audience engagement. Drawing on experience from over 1,000 events in 23 countries, Rob shows how mastering storytelling, one of the most timeless ways to share knowledge, enhances leadership and builds resilience. In a supportive environment, participants gain tools to communicate authentically, manage anxiety, and build professional credibility that endures long after the applause.
