Lynne Malcolm finds the workings of the human mind incredibly fascinating. The presenter of the multi award winning ABC series, All In the Mind, she is a graduate from the University of Sydney, majoring in psychology, education and anthropology, and has a graduate diploma in communications from the University of Technology in Sydney.
With a passion for people and their personal experiences, Lynne is an extraordinary listener, an avid researcher and analyst, and a powerful teller of stories. She is an expert moderator, MC, and interviewer for corporate, government and community events.

Lynne Malcolm has been producing and presenting radio across a range of programs over many years. Since 2012 she has been the presenter of All in the Mind, a half hour radio and podcast feature based in science, and covering a broad range of topics including neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, cognitive science, mental health and human behaviour.
Lynne has received a number of media awards, including bronze and gold Medals in the New York Radio Festivals International Awards, the Michael Daley Award for Journalism in Science and finalist status in the Eureka Awards. She won two Mental Health Services media achievement awards for All in the Mind – one in 2007 for her series on schizophrenia, and one in 2013 for two programs on youth mental health. In 2014 she was awarded The Mental Health Matters media award for her contribution to mental health awareness on All in the Mind, and in 2017 she won the Sound/Vision Journalism Award from The Mental Health Service of Australia and New Zealand for a radio series “Understanding and Destigmatising Mental Illness’.
Lynne has been on a range of media award judging panels and she regularly hosts and speaks at public events in relation to the mind and mental health.
A strong research professional with exceptional skills in science communication, she is also a skilled and experienced moderator of public forums and panels and performs the role of MC and host at conferences and panels with impressive professionalism. Her advanced management skills, having been manager and executive producer of a high profile and dynamic science radio production unit at the ABC for 15 years, are a unique advantage when hosting live events.
