Kaylee McKeown OAM

Kaylee McKeown entered the Paris 2024 Olympics as defending champion in the 100m and 200m backstroke. Not only did she take home five Olympic medals, she also completed the double double, backing up her victory in the 100m and 200m backstroke in Tokyo by completing the double again in Paris. A feat that has never been done before in the history of the sport, elevating herself to an Olympic Legend.

Kaylee is one of Australia’s finest performing Olympians of all time having won 5 Olympic Gold Medals across the 2020 and 2024 games as well as 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.
To put that in perspective, she already has more gold medals than Ian Thorpe and Dawn Fraser, and is only one Gold medal behind our Greatest Olympian ever, Emma McKeon.

She has also won 4 Commonwealth Gold Medals, 4 World Championship titles and 7 Word Championship silver medals.

Kaylee never dreams of success. She works for it. Inclusive and inspirational, Kaylee holds herself to high standards of professionalism and unconsciously has matured to be a senior role model in the teams swimming squad.

Passionate about total team performance, Kaylee has played a pivotal role in the design of teams campaigns in recent years – providing insights into the campaign delivery which helped deliver unprecedented success to the Australian swimming team in 2023.

Kaylee has always been driven. At just 15, she joined her older sister on the swim team as one of their youngest members. Then in 2017 she marked her presence on the international swimming scene when she qualified and finished fourth in the final of the World Championships 200m backstroke event.

Kaylee has continued with strong performances since and is destined and on track to become Australia’s greatest ever Olympian at the LA Olympics in 2028 and will cement herself further into Australian sporting history.
