Jenn Morris OAM
Business leader, dual Olympic gold medallist, former captain of the Hockeyroos
Jenn is an accomplished corporate executive and non-executive director, with key experience in advising corporations and government entities on strategy development, governance controls, complex large-scale business transformation, human capital related work, the embedding of ESG (environment, social and governance) related policies and the understanding of high-performance environments learned during her varied career including elite sport.
Jenn is currently a non-executive director of ASX top 10 listed company, Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG), Chair of the Remuneration and People Committee, and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee. She was appointed as a non-executive director of Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) and is the Chair of the People and Performance Committee and a member of the Risk and Sustainability Committee. Jenn’s most recent appointment has been to lithium miner Liontown Resources where she is Chair of the Remuneration and People Committee and member of the Audit, Risk and Sustainability Committee. Jenn is also a Director on the Australian Sports Commission and Levin Health, a start-up world-class sports science company focusing on research related to solving chronic pain and concussion issues.
Jenn was a senior executive of Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s Minderoo Foundation where she was CEO of Walk Free, a global human rights organisation. She is a former Partner of global professional services firm Deloitte where she worked across mining, transport and government portfolios. She also served as Chair of Healthway, the then WA-government’s peak independent health body, where she successfully aligned the activities of the organisation with the legislation it was intended to enforce and was a Director of AFL club, The Fremantle Dockers for six years. Prior to this, Jenn was a member of the Australian women’s hockey team where she won gold medals at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
Jenn is a strong communicator with extensive experience in team effectiveness and leadership programs. She is also an engaging corporate speaker and storyteller, sharing her extensive experience across the various environments she has worked in. She has demonstrated expertise in leadership from her time as captain with the dual Olympic gold medal-winning Australian hockey team, and her time in governance and corporate executive roles where she developed a keen understanding of what makes for effective leadership, exceptional performance and high-performing teams from the board/executive level down.
