James Bracey is one of Australia’s leading voices on sport and Channel Nine News leading sports anchor who has quickly risen through the ranks, becoming one of Australia’s leading voices on Sport.
Since joining the team at Nine in 2016, James is now the main anchor for the network’s highest rating sports coverage – including the NRL, State of Origin and Grand Final, along with The Presidents Cup and the Australian Open. He is also the anchor for the popular Sports Sunday program and more recently was appointed as the leading sports anchor for Nine News.
Following his graduation from the University of Newcastle in 2005, with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism), James joined Sky News as a sports reporter and presenter.
During his thirteen-year stint at Sky News, James hosted the very popular SportsNight evening show and covered three Summer Olympic games (Beijing, London & Rio de Janeiro), two Winter Olympic Games (Vancouver & Sochi), the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Dehli, as well as the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
