Diana Ryall is Managing Director of Xplore and one of Australia’s leading business women.
From 1997 to 2001, she was Managing Director at Apple Computer Australia where highlights included the company being recognised by Hewitt Associates as ‘Employer of the Year’. Diana stepped down from that position at the end of 2001 to establish Xplore with the view to delivering exceptional experiences and opportunities for women at all levels of professional development to build and expand their career resiliency skills.
A well known mentor for women and a vocal supporter of increasing the number of skilled women in the workforce, Diana is passionate about inspiring leadership, supportive workplace cultures and the overall success of women.
In 2003 she was invited to join the judging panel of the Australian Best Employers program run by Hewitt Associates and believes this program raises the profile of supportive organisational culture
During 2002, Diana was enthusiastically involved in the Sydney Leadership Program run by the Benevolent Society. Through this program she became more aware of Australia’s social issues and the need for the development of social capital.
Prior to her role as Managing Director, Apple Australia, Diana held the position of Director of Product Marketing and Education Business Development. In this role, she was responsible for driving the business management of Apple’s product and the development of the education market across Asia Pacific.
From late 1994, she was Director of Software, Support and Development with the task of increasing Apple customer satisfaction through high quality support and training, and by fostering the Australian development community. She was instrumental in the development of use of technology in the Education market for over 10 years from 1983.
Before joining Apple, Diana worked in the education sector providing training in the use of technology and developed educational computer programs in the United States. She has a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Education from the University of Sydney.
Diana is an active dragon boat paddler with Dragons Abreast Australia and speaks for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. She actively focuses on balancing her career, family and health and her philosophy for life is to learn as much about everything as you can and face life and its challenges with optimism.
