Australia’s Renovation Queen, Cherie Barber is a regular TV renovator, having appeared on Australian network in shows such as Channel 9’s Space Invaders & Today Extra, Channel 10’s The Living Room & Foxtel’s Your Money Live. She is a highly sought after public speaker, author, award winning business woman and star of her own TV show in the United States of America called 5 Day Flip.

At the age of 21, Cherie embarked on a minor renovation and cosmetically flipped her first property, making a profit in the process that sparked her interest in property. She bought another unrenovated house straight after, and as they say, the rest is history. Almost 30 years later, she has now personally renovated over 125+ properties.

In 2009, Cherie established her company, Renovating For Profit, after constant requests from people asking how she did, what she did.

She currently holds a large community of homeowners, property investors and renovators (over 300,000 people) and more than 20,000 Aussies have undergone her training, making her the clear market leader for quality property renovation education in Australia. This combined with her extensive media presence, make her Australia’s leading media authority on renovating for profit and a trusted source of information for all things home related.

In 2020, Cherie landed the role of co-host on Channel 9’s show “Space Invaders”. Along with decluttering guru, Peter Walsh, they help transform the homes and lives of people crippled by clutter. In this role, Cherie transforms rooms or partial areas of a home in just 2 days on affordable budgets that the public can relate to.

In addition to her significant renovation achievements, Cherie has been a finalist twice in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards, and in 2016, was named as one of the 100 Women of Influence in Australia. Cherie is a national brand ambassador for Asbestos Awareness and is passionate about educating homeowners and DIYers on how to renovate safely.
