Anthony Salame

Comedian
Debuting his career as the King of Urban Comedy, Anthony Salame has continuously refined his comedic craft where he now promotes a more family friendly ethos.
Anthony’s comedy career has been filled with sold out shows at international comedy festivals and gigging at all of Australia’s top comedy venues. He has shared the stage with comedy legends, Pablo Francisco, Jimmy Carr, Bill Burr, Jeff Ross, Jo Koy and many more.
His solo show Anthony Salame Live had massive box office engagements at Sydney and Perth Comedy Festivals as well as one off performances in Melbourne and Adelaide. Anthony also joined forces with his mates in 2024 and unveiled his newest collaborative show, Don’t Forget the Garlic, a curated lineup with some of the funniest comedians on the circuit with just a hint of garlic, including Tahir, Rob Shehadie, John Achkar and more.
Anthony received a nomination for an ARIA Award in the best comedy category for his stand up special Is This Thing On?
Anthony spent the better part of a decade working in radio. He was based in Beirut, Lebanon for 6 years where he co-hosted Virgin Radio Morning Crew. Only seven months after the show was launched (May 2013), it was ranked the number one show in Lebanon. Anthony has also been heard on the airwaves back home in Australia co-hosting Star 106.3 FM in Townsville for 5 years before hanging up his headphones to get back on the mic.
Anthony’s talents extend beyond the mic where he’s appeared on hit Australian TV series’ Fat Pizza, Housos, Legally Brown. He was a voiceover actor on Disney +’s TV series Koala Man released in 2023.
He is also an accomplished author writing educational and inspirational books teaching love, forgiveness and faith for children. He released his third publication Noah and the Ark of Life in 2025.
Anthony continues to perform around Australia.
