Anne Fulwood is one of Australia’s most familiar faces, having enjoyed a high profile broadcasting career with both the Seven and Ten Networks over two decades. She is respected at the highest levels of government, business and community for her excellent judgement, trusted reputation and ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and interests.
Anne is a much sought-after keynote speaker on topics ranging from foreign and current affairs, business, politics, conservation and environment, sport, the wine industry and the media. She has also developed a strong presentation on the art of communication and ‘how to walk your talk’ with authority and confidence. She is also an engaging, entertaining and accomplished host, facilitator and MC.
Fundamentally, the focus of all of Anne’s work has been to understand, engage and build audiences, to target communications to the market, to publish and deliver strategies and stories with clarity and purpose, always at the highest standard.
Anne has built a reputation of the highest respect and recognition across all her media and business activities – as a national newspaper columnist, a national radio producer and host, and as the online site editor for a national business network. She hosted the Telstra Business Awards programs for a decade, and is frequently called upon to develop and facilitate major industry or strategic public events for business and government.
Anne launched her own private business, Fulworks Australia, to deliver services to a range of corporate, government and community clients. As such, she has top-tier expertise across the range of public affairs segments – including executive and leadership strategy, business development and campaigns, publishing of company reports and media engagement, website and social media content, and event production and hosting.
In 2015, Anne was appointed as Australia’s first representative to the Women20 (W20) Engagement Group for the G20 Leaders’ Summit. She represented Australia in Turkey 2015, in Xi’an, China in May 2016 and in Berlin, Germany in 2017, shaping policy and submissions for G20 Leaders to promote the economic and financial empowerment of women.
Her international experience includes: OECD International Forum Panel producer and facilitator on women in the international economy; international panel for the W20 in Xi’an on strategies to promote financial literacy, economic inclusion and getting women into work. Anne was the APEC Spokesperson for the Australian Government in 2007.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), and has served on a number of Federal and State government boards including being:
- On the Board of Trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW – her philanthropic initiative, the Women’s Art Group (WAGs) has raised more than $600K for education and curatorial support programs at the Gallery.
- A member of the Nomination Panel for the Boards of the ABC and SBS – reporting to the Federal Government Minister for Communications and the Arts.
- Since 2016, Australia’s Representative to the Women20 (W20) Engagement Group to the G20 Leaders’ Summit – as a result of her leadership for women and the SME sector across Australia.
- A Federal Government BoardLinks Champion – appointed by the Minister for Women to advocate for more women on public and private sector boards.
Anne has other business activities including investment in her family’s agricultural enterprise in South Australia – bringing a strong connection to rural and regional Australia and its importance to our economy.
